Famous composer of classical music, why, and the favorite Piece for them?

Who is your favorite classical composer, please No other genres, and why? Please include why, because that is the most interesting part, I do not want a list of composers. And if you can choose a favorite (can not), please include your favorite work by them. The composers I'm struggling to choose between are Dvorak, Prokofiev and Shostakovich. I like Dvorak, by its melody and the folk sound, orchestration by Prokofiev and Shostakovich, for its modernity and of privacy in his quartets that I like much more than his orchestral pieces. Dvorak Symphonies 8 and 9 Prokofiev-Violin and Piano Concertos of Shostakovich quartets and Violin Concerto no.1 Thanks for your input!

I love composers depressing classic modern French and Russian. Especially op. 43, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini for piano and orchestra in A Minor (Rachmaninoff) And my favorite of all time is the series of Mother Goose, by Ravel. that is so disturbing and beautiful. I agree with you on Dvorak as well, although I have not listened to it as much, my brother plays his compositions different to the cello and are powerful.
